The issue of Climate Change and a widening global awareness of peoples’ impact on the environment has come to the forefront of consciousness, particularly over the past few years and Beam Construction have been excited to be involved in a number of eco projects.  We pride ourselves on our ability to deliver technically challenging projects incorporating new, more environmentally friendly technologies. 

Beam Construction are fully committed to meeting these challenges and are passionate about the ethos of Green building. In anticipation of a change in focus within the industry, the company have fully  supported one of their staff in achieving an MSc in Energy Efficient and Sustainable Building and other staff members have attained NVQ qualifications in environmental management.  We are well placed to advise and offer expertise to help develop environmentally beneficial aspects of any upcoming project.

The company were awarded ISO 14001 in June 2008 and we are continually analysing our business activities to see how we can reduce our impact on the environment. We have set ourselves objectives and targets that we are currently working towards in topics as varied as  onsite waste reduction and our employee’s personal commitment to reduce our carbon footprint. 

Beam Construction can bring together expertise in highly efficient insulating materials, technologies such as heat recovery systems, solar energy, rainwater harvesting and provide assistance to architects and designers to give the best results and value for money. We are keen to be involved in projects at design stage or at inception to offer guidance and in-house expertise in sustainable construction. This will ensure best practice and quality on site, which is the key to delivering a truly sustainable project.
